About Us

Over several years, we have witnessed the growing hesitation of many loyal, like-minded and caring individuals when asked to respond to calls for action when the core of our spiritual values and beliefs are openly attacked. Ranking at the top of these attacks are the New Mexico abortion laws which permit abortion at all stages of a pregnancy. We have also witnessed the appearance of the tele-health Satanic Abortion Clinic which provides abortion medication via mail to those in New Mexico who wish to perform the Satanic Temple's Religious Abortion Ritual.

More recently, many of you may have heard of the blasphemous murals of Our Lady on the west wall of the city of Santa Fe-owned Warehouse 21. During a May meeting of the Santa Fe City Council, approximately 15 people showed up and many spoke out against the murals. Within a few days the city removed one mural and modified the other. Although there was an extensive effort urging others to speak out, only a few attended. Nevertheless, it was clearly demonstrated how the actions of a few courageous individuals, together with prayer and the intercession of the Holy Spirit, were powerful motivating factors which led to the actions by the city.

While this page could easily be filled with other examples, the message here is not an indictment of those who are hesitant to respond. Rather, it is a call for us all to pause and reflect on our spiritual loyalties and commitments. Further, it is a call for us all to ask for guidance in gaining an understanding of what our Lord wishes our role to be in the spiritual battles against the evil which is drowning our culture.

Baby Steps for Jesus seeks to focus much of its work on examining what we will call a phenomena of hesitation. That is, how would our group go about successfully assembling larger numbers of willing individuals to respectfully oppose the most heinous of assaults on what we hold sacred.

The group is confident in its work to discover the answer and set into motion a plan to plant the seeds necessary to awaken into action our brothers and sisters in Christ. There are no simple answers, but through prayer, patience and the support of the Catholic and Christian community, our efforts will be successful. As one of the organizers of the group stated, “We need to take baby steps for Jesus going forward.”
